Question about ordering BM dresses at two diff locations

Is it true that if you are having one of your BM order a dress from a location other then where the rest of your girls are ordering theres from, the color may be a bit off??? One of my girls live in LI (Thats where shes getting her dress from) and the rest of my BP lives here in SI/Brooklyn. They are all getting there dresses here.

I've heard that before, I don't know if its true, but to ease my mind I would have them order the dress from the same place.

I responded on the '06 board, but I just wanted to add, that your BM out on LI, can get her measurements done somewhere else, and then you can place her order with your other BM's.

That's what one of my BM's did, she got measured out in Long Island, called me with the information, and I ordered the dress for her with the other BM's at Valentina's.

My sister was in a wedding where the girls all had to order the dresses separately, the place warned them about the dye lots, but they were fine. If there was a difference, it was not noticeable, the dresses were red.

My MOH lives in NC and she has to order it there b/c of alterations, the BM's live here. I am not worried, but I am not too picky.

you have to options- they best option is ordering from the same store- just have her call her measurments in or the size if she has tried it own

or 2 - request it be from the same DYE LOT- no 2 dye lots are the same- that's why the color can be off- but if the stores are not connected that will be hard

My BM's are all over.... 1 in Texas, 1 in Buffalo, 1 in Syracuse, 1 in New Jersey and 2 in Long Island... I had everyone get measured wherever they lived by a local seamstress and then we ordered the dress from one location. I heard that same rumor and I was afraid to put the rumor to the test. THey all came back gorgeous!

I had 2 out of state BMs. We got their measurements and ordered from the same salon b/c I was afraid of having different dye lots and different shades of pink dresses. The out of state BMs are getting alterations done near where they live.

We ordered mine from two places and you can't tell the difference at all.
