QOTD_ what is your favorite bway play/musical/opera (even if you've never seen it on broadway)

fav play- Miss Saigon
fav. opera- La Boheme- I saw both the bway version by Baz Lurhman (moulin rouge) and also the opera at the Met this past winter...LOVE IT


oh yes, anything Shakesperean also has my love!

I loved Les Miserables, I love Phatom of the Opera, and I love the choreography of Chicago.

and I absolutely LOVEEEEE two 'newer' plays - Producers (seen it four times - the first time on OPENING NIGHT) and Wicked (seen it twice)

I loved Mozart's Don Giovanni and Bizet's Carmen. I love Mozart to begin with...

On Broadway I have to say that my favorite was 'Phantom of the Opera', although I loved 'Fiddler on the Roof' and 'Mamma Mia'...

ETA: I am DYING to see Wicked...looks exciting...

2) Wicked . . . saw for the 1st time Labor Day weekend, I took my mom as a gift, and it as awesome!!!!! I didn't expect it to be as great as it was. I would totally go again to see it!!!

my 3 fav are LM, Phaton and Chicago ( my uncle client was in the play- so I am partial)

and I am dying to see the odd couple- the same client is in this one- it's already SOLD OUT- I think they added more shows

I took Jake to see Little shop of horrors- it was his first show

Fave Play....cross between Rent and Chicago

Opera, I've only seen Don Quixote, so I guess it's my fave.

I've seen Chicago tons of times, Phantom a few times & Les Mis once.

I also liked the Producers, Aida, Rent, I Love You You're Perfect Now Change, the Graduate (Kathleen Turner) and tons of others. I love live theater.

My grandparents took me to see Return to Oz when I was a kid, it was my 1st professional live performance so it holds a special place in my heart.

I love Chicago the movie, but I never got to see the musical.

This past February I took FH, his daughter, and my grandparents to see Beauty & the Beast, so now that has a special place too!!

Oh, and my fave play is Rumors by Neil Simon. A bunch of my friends were in the HS drama club and did it my senior year, soooooooo funny!! Fave dramatic play is prob Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller.
