FH just called to let me know he dropped off the deposit to save the date!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a photographer!!!!

Funny side note, photographer told FH he wouldn't bother him with details of the contract, instead he would 'call his lawyer'.

Another vendor down. On to DJ's. Suggestions girls??????

Congrats!!!

The Djs on here most used are High Voltage, Body Rock and FM Entertainment.

What you choose depends on what you're looking for. We wanted no cheese, and no in your face style. Just laid back. So we went with Frank at FM Entertainment. Although I hear Vinny from High Voltage and Music by Michael is also good if you want something laid back.

They have an excellent reputation

Congratulations on your Photographer!

We chose DanceJock for our DJ, they seemed really cool and no cheese factor. Also they offer a lot of different packages. Good Luck

Who did you book for photo?
Our DJ is Bravura, they are very classy and have a mix of DJ and live music.

For DJs I'd recommend LI Sound or Body Rock!!

We went with The Velvet Studio in Huntington, after meeting with:
1. ADA
2. Duet
3. Twelfth Night
4. VIP Studios &
5. Spelman Studios

If anyone wants specific details on why we didn't book with any of those 5, feel free to send me FM. I will say this, there was only one of those photographers whose actual photos we didn't care for. We eliminated the other 4 for other reasons.

Oh wow i'm so glad i could help! Are you getting video with him too? Are you getting the coffee table style book?

We haven't decided which book. As for video, we both originally said we didn't want it, so we didn't budget for it. We are now rethinking, but have to see what other vendors (flowers, DJ etc) are going to cost before we make a final decision.
