Everyone should fill up their cars with gas asap

I was watching CNN & Fox and analysts are saying that hurricane Rita could raise gas prices to $5-$6 a gallon!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I filled up this morning. A tank of gas should be able to last me about 2 weeks, so hopefull I will be able to avoid whateve Rita does to gas prices.

They said this with Hurricane Katrina too and the gas never went that hi. I think they say that to get us to run out and fill up. That's JMO

I filled up yesterday more b/c I don't want to wait in line than to save the $.50 or so per gallon.

My FH has a avalanche it has a 30 gallon tank. It is impossible to buy gas for it. I know now is probably regrets geting it.

It might not go up as high as they say, but the fact is the gas prices did go up after Katrina. I'm pissed I didn't think of this yesterday. I'm going to definitely do it later. (I hope there's no lines).

I live here in SW Florida and right after Katrina hit people started freaking out that gas prices would increase, so everyone went up and filled up their cars, extra gas tanks, or anything they could get their hands on just in case the prices went up. Because everyone did that we had a shortage of gas here along the gulf coast for almost two days and after that we went on restriction.
My advice is fill up as you normally would and that is that.
Supplies may become limited and shortages will be felt if everyone starts to panic.
