Need Help with Band Choices

Can anyone recommend a band that will play everything from Sinatra to the Grateful Dead? I'm in NYC trying to plan a LI wedding and I can't make it to any band showcases. I'm probably going to book a band without ever hearing them play. I'd love suggestions for bands that aren't cheesey (no Electric Slide). My budget is around 5,000. Thanks!

We used Paris... they can play anything. Our intro was a guns n roses song. They were so amazing. however, they were a bit pricy but well worth it. We tried to splurge on the hall and the band and keep everything else at a min.
