Can't do this - So sad... New Placecard idea Update at bottom

So, the other day I bought the place cards and fall leaves to make my table cards when the time comes (Just like Deleeny's!). So, FH and I were talking last night and we had orginally decided NOT to do favors, but he said something along the lines of 'what about soap'? And I rememberd these fall in love soaps I had seen. Well... after thinking about it some, I think I'm going to use these and get nice lables and print the guests name and table # on the label and adhere it to the box and use these for my placecards. This way there's also no mistaken that it's one per couple... What do you ladies think? Too much? Or a good idea?

I think that you should use hte same idea, but use those leaf cookies that you get at the bakery!!! That would be awesome!!!!

That would be great! But unfortunately, we are having a very strict Glatt Kosher wedding and cannot bring any outside food into the hall. A food favor would be so much easier and much less expensive, however it's just not an option for us.

Very Cute, but be careful with soap. Many times if its near food for a period of time, the food picks up the soap flavor.

ETA: FH placed the order for 220 of these on Monday and we just got an email saying they are on back order until 11/15 - Two days AFTER my wedding.

With 4 weeks left, now have to come up with a new favor that will fit into our budget (keep in mind we have almost 350 people attending the wedding)

That's where I got my favors from. They're located in Farmingdale and I got them in 3 days! They have great prices.

Do you have the mfg #? These favors are carried by the same people, so I would try Favor Warehouse (posted by Dina) and Wrap With Us. If not, try eBay. Once you have the item # it helps a lot.
Don't give up...you'll find the soap or if not, I bet you'll find something better.

actually, they are $1.95 at off ebay favor stores. I extensively researched this. I found them on ebay for $1.50 plus free shipping, and each ebay vendor now has on their sites they are on back order until 11/15/05. they must all get them from the same manufacturer.

yup - out of our budget

And we can't bring any food related favors into our wedding because we are having a very strict glatt kosher wedding and they won't let us bring it in. That would solve alot of my problems because I would make up little bags of goodies instead and it would be alot cheaper!

I know, the wine stoppers are really nice! My sister used them as favors at my shower

Originally we weren't going to do favors because our wedding is so big, so I'm thinking now of doing a donation favor.
