Short hair dilema

I'm sure MOST of you have long and lovely hair that can be styled absolutely amazingly for the wedding ... lots of options and styles...

I'm jealous

Does anyone have suggestions for those of us with shorter hair?

I welcome suggestions

Re: Short hair dilema

Did you want a style for short hair? Because if you really want an updo, I think you have a ton of time to grow it out. It only has to be slightly below your shoulders before you can put it up.

As for short hair styles, I've seen some pretty styles where you just have a really nice hair clip and you pull one side back.

www.haircomesthebride.com has some beautiful hair accessories.

Re: Short hair dilema

I have longer hair (down to my shoulder blades) and believe me...it's not that easy!

I'm having hair extensions put in. You can do the same.

Re: Short hair dilema

There are plenty of options for short hair. You may be able to put it up but piece by piece rather than all at once. You may be able to put it up at the sides with small pieces of hair jewelry rather than a comb or tiara. I, for one, am NOT a fan of extensions. If it isnt growing from my head, I don't want it. I also am not an updo person. It is lovely on other people, just not for me.

I am growing out my very butchy short hair and I am miserable. I think I could and would look just as good with my old hair cut on my wedding day. My dress is bold, striking and severe - a very Leslie thing. FH asked this one thing of me - to grow it - and I yelled at him about it this morning. It is coming off right after the wedding. Maybe before if I get angry enough. Having longer hair adds about a half hour to my morning routine that I could use to sleep. And to be honest, I turn more heads with short hair than I EVER did with long hair. Conforming with my hair is making me nuts - can't you tell?

Re: Short hair dilema

you have just as manyy options with short hair as you do with long. my hair is too my shoulders and can all get pulled back, and that is all i need. i'm just growing it out for the wedding, come next year, aug 5th, i'm doing the chop.

ask your regular hairdresser what she/he thinks your best options are, they will tell you realistically, what you can and cannot do

Re: Short hair dilema

I had my trial done when my hair was just above my shoulders and it looked great. She was able to put all of it up. I am growing it out, so it will be longer by the time of the wedding, but you would be amazed what they can do.
You could also get some inspiration from 1920's hairstyles. Short hair was very fashionable then, and those women looked totally glamorous!

some more modern ones:
