Picked out our menu and cake today, and a big surprise!

since we are the only event at our hall that evening, we got our room upgraded at no additional cost!

This was my favorite room from the very beginning and what I really wanted. I couldn’t be happier!

I am SO happy that we are the only party at the hall that night!!!!!!!!!!!

the cake picking went a-ok!

we picked marble cake with chocolate mousse

in all the excitement of the room upgrade, we forgot to pick the icing though

so I need to call tomorrow and tell them whipped cream it is!

Congratulations! My place upgraded our room also to one we really liked that required a higher head count. One of our vendors commented that it was nice of them to do that--some places will let the better room sit empty rather than switch it. It doesn't hurt them to do this, but apparently not all places will go that way. It made us feel even better about our choice of reception spot.
