How ironic that this is a post....I JUST GOT MINE AS A GIFT IN THE MAIL.....I don't know how to post the pic...but it's the stainless steel Cuisinart one that someone posted a pic of. I think I might go out and buy some strawberries to try it out!

My FH wants to skip the Fondue set and go for a home version of the chocolate fountain....we saw one the other day at Bed Bath & Beyond and he was like a kid at Christmas.

O.K. I've been dying to put this on my registry but I have a question for those who have one...I was told that unless it was made of a certain material you couldn't do cheese and chocolate in it?? Is that correct? I was also told that you should try and get a ceramic one because the surface stays cool unlike the stainless steel ones.

Any thoughts or recommendations??

Mine is not ceramic and i've used both cheese & chocolate and peanut oil in it with no problems. Just make sure you use a good melting cheese.
