When was the first time you were called Mrs...

When was the first time you were called by your new last name? I don't mean at the wedding. I mean by somone you didn't know over the phone or something like that.

My first phone call was today.

I am a teacher so my students call me Mrs.... everyday and sometimes I don't answer. It is hard to get used to!

Yes, the first day back to work. It sounded so odd. Then the first time I refered to DH as my husband, that sounded odd too. lol

At the airport on our way to our HM. Although I was traveling using my maiden name we had T-Shirts on that said 'Just Married'.


What took me longer to get use to was signing my new name.

At my new job- I have been Ms.K for ten years as a counselor so it has been really hard to become Mrs.M. The first time I really heard it was when I was introduced by my new principal at the faculty meeting to speak. She had to say my name like three times and then made a joke saying this is the woman I used to know and obviously she believes to still be Ms. K.
It was pretty funny.

When we checked into the hotel. The lady kept saying Mrs. B...Mrs.B over here! I was like who me?!

The first time I remember it clearly was when I went to speak to a mortgage broker and he called my new name and I just sat there with no reaction, then I realized he was calling MY name!

Yeah on the honeymoon, that was weird, I don't think it really has happened since then!!

At the hotel after the wedding. It was SO weird. I STILL do not answer to it at work (I'm a teacher). I just cannot get used to it!

Student teaching this Sept. Was very odd at first, now I love it!

On our honeymoon. We got invited to the captains table on our cruise and we got our invites. So the entire night the social hostess only addressed me by Mrs.so&so. I felt so old but it was cool.

On our mini-honeymoon - the hotel room was under my maiden name, so they called DH Mr. M - which amused me highly. But overall, no one has really said Mrs. C, unless you count DH - who likes to say it sometimes!

On our honeymoon, only it was not Mrs., it was Madame. We went to Quebec, and a card and gift pack were waiting in our room, addressed to Monsieur et Madame. It hit me that I would never be a Mademoiselle again!
