NWR: Best place to go Pumpkin Picking on LI???

I live in Brooklyn, but FH and I will be in LI (Suffolk) on Saturday and early Sunday.. We wanted to go Pumpkin Picking - can anyone reccommend a good place?

Hi...where in Suffolk will you be? We live in Centereach area but usually go further east for our pumpkins. There are places down Rt 25A that are really good. If you're looking more central Suffolk, I'm not really sure.

If you head out east on the LIE you will see a million signs for 'pick your own pumpkin' or you can check out Lewins Farms Online they have pumpkin and apple picking

Couple of cute places in huntington.
One right off or Exit 49 on LIE... I forget the name... but they have a big ballon that you can see from the highway of a pumpkin.
Also in Huntington, White Post Farm.

I think the place I always went to was Mayor's Farms or Meyer's farms . . .

Go North on Rt. 111, I think there are some pumpkin picking places after it crosses Main St. (25) HTH!! GL!!

We've gone every year since I was born. We go out to Sound Avenue out east and we drive up and down and pick a pumpkin patch. We go to a different one each year and then we hit up Lewins Farm and get the fresh produce.

Schmitts Farm right off the LIE. They have a free hayride around the farm and a separate corn maize too...
