HELP me pick a rehearsal dinner dress...UPDATED BELOW WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DRESS I ORDERED

Now I got the dress. BTW, size 10 it is not. So, less alterations. It fits like a 6. Trouble is it is A LOT sexier than I thought it would be. Completely backless!! It scoops right down to lower back, UPPER BUTT! It just has a piece on the top in the back that connects the shoulders. Is this too inappropriate? It's the naked dress!
And, what color shoes - do I get something funky or stick with a solid. These are the shoes I ordered, but not sure if they are too boring.

Well it's just for me. I'm 5'5, 110lbs.
Thanks for Ann Taylor suggestion, they actually have a white dress, but I like these a little better.

Re: HELP me pick a rehearsal dinner dress...

What if you bought their ivory skirt on page 133 in their October catalogue. I just bought it but it isn't at the stores just online. I bought the jacket too. I had the same problem finding something white to the point I was going to give up. I persoanlly like #2 though.

page 133? my catalog is 83 pages. There's one on pg 81 that I didn't realize was a skirt until you pointed it out ! I thought it was the Whitney dress with a jacket over it. Tx!

I just bought that outfit...my FH bought it for me b/c I couldn't find anything. I was made they didn't have the dress in teh store but they are shipping it to me & hopefully it looks just as nice on me as it does on that girl. I didn't get the shirt she is wearing underneath but I am going to try & find something similiar. I just loved the look & I can wear that outfit again--I just felt to spent the $$ on the dress I may not get to wear it again. Good luck

I know - it's very annoying you can't try the dresses on. J.Crew sizes run huge - I have a strapless dress from them in a 4 that literally falls right off my body. And their shipping is pretty pricey ($14 for over $200 item). Nowadays most places don't even charge you shipping if you spend a certain amount of money. I was tempted to order 4 dresses - those 2 in a 0 & 2 and pick from that! The store in Rockefeller Center has some of the bridesmaid dresses in the dressing room to try on, but of course neither of the above.

J. Crew has that red phone in the store (i call it the Bat phone )... but you can call in your order from there (they have the catalogue there with the codes you need), and they ship it directly to the store for you to pick up there, and i believe they dont charge you shipping if you do it that way.

Re: HELP me pick a rehearsal dinner dress...

I got a great deal on a Valentino dress from Overstock.com. It looked very conservative and perfect for the occasion. I got it and appeared to be, from the pic, a small slit in the front, was actually quite a long slit that if I sat the wrong way would show my guests way more than they wanted to see !
BTW, the above dresses are on major sale online in lots of colors other than white but from what I've heard, white's the way to go.

Don't hate me - I'm shrinking due to stress, and I used to have a chest. My boobs must have weighed alot b/c as far as I can tell, that's the only place I lost weight
