Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
like when were taking pictures before the cermony and I started to see our guests walk in, I got so excited.I started screamming 'Hi!' to all of them. I remember screaming, 'Hi Bob! Hi Jean!!' and running over to hug them. That was the moment I got really excited and realized all my friends and family were there to celebrate our wedding day.
Phil was trying to pull me up to the bridal suite to prepare for the ceremony, but all I wanted to do was talk to my friends and family, because some of them I hadn't seen in a while.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
What a great thread
I was waiting in the back of the church right before I walked down the aisle and it seemed like it was taking forever so I kind of shouted 'I WANNA GET MARRIED ALREADY!' and the limo driver was laughing so hard.
Also during the CH the bridal attendant brought me tons of food and a table cloth to use as a bib and I remember my BP talking to me but all I was doing was shoving the food in my mouth.
At the end of my reception 'Thats What Friends Are For' was requested and my whole BP and I huddled together and rocked back and forth singing.

Those are really great memories!I remember being on the dance floor and my 7 yr old niece (jr BM) comes up to me and says 'Aunt Denise, this is the best day of my life.' I was so touched!!
This is the same girl that doesn't like ANYTHING girly, but wore a dress for me.I also remember my DH saying to me, 'it's 4:30 already' and I couldn't believe how fast time was going!!!

I will never forget how my neice, flowergirl, acted when I came out of the limo. She was SOOOO excited that she was jumping up and down and shivering, Then she huigged me and told me I looked like a princess! After the ceremoney I took off my veil and she took one look at me and said, 'Aunt Lauren, why'd ya take off your bride?!' She was all pouty. It was so cute!

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
This is good! I remember waiting in the bridal suite, by myself for the first time all morning, and having a moment of apprehension. Not so much about marrying dh, but about the ceremony.I remember seeing my dad's eyes tear up as he gave me away, and his big hug afterwards congratulating me.
I remember the couple minutes my mother and I had alone before we got in the car. She looked so happy for me!
Seeing dh for the first time that day. We took photos before the ceremony, so I saw him at our location. He looked the most handsome I have ever seen him, and he looked stunned. Later, he told me I looked absolutely beautiful, and he didn't know what to say.
Standing with DH outside the room where our ceremony was held, alone for the first time as a married couple.
There were lots of good moments at the reception too, but the moments before and right after the ceremony are the sweetest to me.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
Yeah I can replay a lot, a few fave highlights...in the limo with my bridesmaids with them singing 'Going to the Chapel' in three part harmony, seeing DH tear up as I walked down the aisle, sitting in church on the altar and looking at all of my friends and family around me, some quiet moments in bridal suite with DH and close family/friends, on the boat in the Great South Bay at 7pm drinking champagne and kissing DH- beautiful!, our first dance where we SANG to each other as we danced, my sister's speech that had me laughing and crying...... Ahhhhh I can't wait for our video!!

Yes! I love this idea!!
I remember waiting in the bridal suite just before they called me to start walking and I started to get nervous and teary eyed and made myself stop and think of what a great day it will be... then when I walked outside, our DJ yelled out my name, gave me a big smile and thumbs up - I felt so great.
I remember, walking up the aisle and seeing all my friends all cleaned up, seeing DH smiling, listening to my dog cry because he couldn't lay down RIGHT next to me lol
The butterfly release was so fun and exciting - seeing them fly all around - and my when my dog Charlie tried to catch one of them that flew right in front of his face
I almost DIED!OUr first dance - with all of the bubbles... trying to cut thru the plastic platter that separates each layer of cake. lol
So many memories... I could go on and on.

I will always remember vividly sitting in the limo with my Dad just before we pulled away from my house. He told me he remembered the day I was born like it was yesterday and then pulled one of the 'It's a Girl!' cigars from his pocket that he handed handed out 29 years ago
He had it in his pocket for the whole day.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
I remember pulling up to the Hilton in a limo with my MOH's, parents and DHs parents and seeing the rest of our BP inside the lobby. Everyone got out of the limo except me. The photographers made sure DH was 'tucked away' and I got out of the limo. I nervously walked into the lobby and down a hall where they had DH sitting in a chair waiting for me. It was just me and him, and the photographer/videographer. I walked up to him and said 'hi pumpkin' and came up from behind him as he sat there and kissed him on his cheek. He turned around and stood up and saw me for the first time and started to cry. He hugged me and we both cried. It was soo beautiful!!

I remember the feeling of excitement and anticipation, when my parents and I arrived at the church. It was an amazing feeling to walk out of the limo and realize that I was about to become a married woman in a few moments and that my life was going to change for good; for the better! It was such a great feeling!
Even when I watch the video, I recall that feeling and I get teary eyed! Also, I recall sitting up at the alter and DH and I gazing at eachother with admiration and the feeling of joy that we both had entire day through!

THAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!! I just got chills! I would have lost it big time!
I too remember my talking with my dad in the limo on our way to the ceremony. At that moment I felt so surreal, still like daddys little girl but about to become a married woman.

I remember dancing with my dad and then my dad got tears in his arms and then took me into his arms like when I was a little girl. At that point, we both lost it and started to cry.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
I have a few strong memories of my wedding day mostly during the ceremony. The priest that married us is actually my best friends uncle. Before the wedding he had DH and I individually write letters explaining what we love or what we find special about one another. I thought it was to help him get to know us better but he ended up reading the letters during the ceremony it brought the whole church to tears. Also a bunch of my students came to the church and before the ceremony started the priest went to them and asked them to be a part of the ceremony. After we said our vows he called all the children up and they said a blessing to us. I was so surprised and so proud of them. It was these unplanned moments that brought the most joy during my day.One last one.... DH and I went in the reception room before anyone else saw it to check things out and it was the prefect moment to take in the day and see how beautifully all our hard work and planning turned out with out any other distractions.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
I have a couple of moments that I'll never forget. One is walking up to the ceremony site and seeing all the people waiting, noticing that my students had come and realizing that I couldn't see my DH at the end of the aisle. Then all of a sudden he jumped up waving to let me know that he was there, making me really smile for the first time that whole day. (I was really nervous)The second is our last song. We chose 'We are Family'. Our two families had made two separate circles, so DH and I brought them together as well as the rest of the guests so basically everyone was dancing together.

Re: Our wedding day flew bye, but there are certain moments that stand out and I can replay in my head detail by detail,
Great thread! It is hard to pick my favorite memories, but here are two I'll always remember:I'll never forget our parents congratulating us moments after DH and I walked down the aisle as husband and wife. It felt so wonderful to feel their excitement for us and I was truly on cloud nine.
Another fond moment was when DH and I left the church in our limo for the 45 minute ride to Danfords. It was the only time that day that we were alone and could revel in the moment. Along the way, a bunch of different cars honked their horns or waved at us as we passed by. I didn't realize people do that and so it was such a nice surprise to have those good wishes from complete strangers.

I will never forget the when we pulled up to Atlantis and I heard the bagpiper starting to play. That was something that I always wanted at my wedding was a bagpiper and that is what I got. Then to top it I thought my father and I were just going to walk over the bridge in Atlantis Marine World but the bagpiper piped us over the bridge and I will never forget my father saying to me Denise you are shaking and I said I know I'm so happy and excited and he kissed my hand and we started to walk!! I'm starting to cry right now just thinking about that!!Denise

After the ceremony and before the reception in the portrait studio at the Fox Hollow with all our family there my dad said a toast where he toasted us with a bottle of Cognac that he bought the day I was born for the purpose of toasting at our wedding.
