Boy dog or girl???
We are probably getting a new puppy for Missy. Since she is a girl, is a girl dog or a boy dog better? Or does it not matter.

Re: Boy dog or girl???
i say girl, escpecially with the new house... the male dog could be pieeing all over your new stuff an dkilling an bushes in the backyard and my cousin got a new male dog after having a female and the male dog would pee on the female!! like saying sh'es mine!! or you could also get a male dog that dopesnt even lifts it's leg.... but we went with the female we knew female dogs since we got layla and since we were moving we figured the less stress the better.... we went with what we know.....
Good Luck!!

Re: Boy dog or girl???
Get a girl... Male dogs before they are neutered are impossible.

Re: Boy dog or girl???
Depends,
Wherever you adopt from ask them if the dog has been raised with others. If you are adopting a younger puppy, it really shouldn't matter though.
Most of the dogs at www.petfinder.org have good descriptions about them. If you find one that is great with others, it shouldn't matter what sex.

Re: Boy dog or girl???
They say that having one of each is good for balance....
after getting a male when having a female in the house....
I think we either should have gotten a female and IF and when we ever get ANOTHER dog (after both are gone--I'm NEVER doing 2 again unless we get them at the same time) it'll be another female....
she was so easy to train (DH did most of it while we were dating, so easy for me to say!)
