How do you feel about your future in laws?

I'll start a new topic because I am curious as to the responses! How do you girls feel about your future in laws? For me, I love my father in law, I think he is a great guy and he has always been nice to me. As far as his mother is concerned, she can be pleasant at times but for the most part she is extremely difficult to get along with and tries to make my life very complicated when she can!!!

I get along great with my FILs. They have always been really great to me. They recently moved to Vegas and I actually miss them once in a while!

I get along with them fine. I have gotten closer to FMIL more though. But I love them both.

I love my FIL...until I got into an arguement with FSIL. We have been going out for six years and a week before he proposes we get into this arguement. My Future father in law is cool, but now I think my FMIL hates me. My FH says no, but deep down I know she does. I hope things get better.

LOVE MY FIL to death ....MIL we get along ....I just wish that she was more interested in whats going on with me and FH - he is her 1st born and 1st married ....put me off a little other then that no problems

I don't have any feelings either way for FMIL (his Dad has not been around most of his life). I think that's the nicest way to put it. She's annoying and cheap. She expected to invite an extra 100 people to our wedding but didn't want to contribute anything. She complains about not seeing her grandchild but doesn't make any effort at all to try. My daughter hasn't gotten so much as a birthday or christmas card from this woman. Anyway, I'll leave it at that because I'm starting to get very upset.

I actually feel the same way as you--Life is far from perfect with the Fil's. FFIL is very nice, but FMIL is and can be quite a handful. I constatntly feel like I am defending myself or trying to be nice. I just thank god everyday that I have the most amazing parents in the world! FM me if you ever want to vent

My father in law died in June. I loved that man he never did nothing wrong ever.

My mother in law is a pain. She can stab you in the back faster then anything then when she needs you she is your best friend.

I always look at my family and say Thank God!!! My family is extremely supportive and they all decided they would pay for some portion of the wedding. All they care about if OUR happiness. Whereas that lady only cares about free and cheap.

I am so glad some of you feel the same way I do! I thank god that my parents have been so good to us, and it's ad but even my FH knows his mother is psycho!!!

My in-laws are wonderful!!! They are a second set of parents to me and treat me like their daughter!! I am so thankful for it!!!

i love them!!! they have been my family for years now - after the wedding we'll all just have the same last name....

oh I love them! They are the nicest people! I love my FH mom! She is the most generous person I know and so sweet! His dad is the sweetest too, he's a quiet man but the kindest heart! I'm so happy to be marrying into a great family.

Its a love hate relationship

I love both of his parents, they have always been very caring and giving towards me and they treat me like I am their daughter.

Sometimes they make me crazy but I know its only because they worry about us sometimes...you know-the regular parenting stuff!

I ADORE and LOVE LOVE LOVE my future in-laws!!! They are SUCH wonderful amazing people and I know I am truly blessed to have gotten such a great set of in-laws! It's funny because I love them so so much and would do anything for them but its quite the opposite with my own family. I can't STAND my family. They can be so horrible and cruel. I actually live with my FH and his parents. They've been so active in our wedding plans, they were more excited about the engagement and wedding than my own family was, it was extremely heart breaking. But I know I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have such a wonderful FH and future in laws!

My FFIL passed away. I loved him!! Once he passed my FMIL's health has been not so good. Due to his untimely early sudden death it triggered a early onset of dementia. So my FMIL gets angry at me because I 'take her son away from her'. She feels that she should go where ever we go with us. She gets angry at me when I come over to pick him up to go out. She tells me that I am selfish and only care about myself. I try not to get angry, I try to remind my self its a disease but its hard.
