Wow and I thought we had drama...

not to make light of anyone's situation, this is more of an observation of LIW.

We on the 05 board have had drama in our days but the scary stuff going on over on the 06 board makes us look like angels.

And what's really sad is that after a certain someone did what she did on here, no one can share a personal stroy without someone getting a bad vibe that it could be fake.

This is so true!

But I have to admit that even I was questioning the poster...it just didn't add up to me.

I guess each board goes through their drama phases. We sure have had some 'interesting' characters on the 05 board

I apologize for intruding, but I just wanted to get the '05 bride perspective on dealing with drama on the boards.

I don't know what happened on the '05 board b/c I normally post on the '06 and the BHB, so I'm clueless as to how/why everything went down.

I know ignoring is the best policy to deal with drama, but did you find that the drama was being brought about from a specific person, a specific subject matter, or just from anxiety of wedding planning?

You're not intruding...these boards are for everyone.

I think it was a combination of it all. Yes, there were specific people that were responsible for the drama (with topics, responses, comments) but it's also the stress of planning - it really messes with your head. You will all understand once the weddings are over.

The old time 05ers can speak with more detail since I caught the tail end of the drama when I joined (and is the reason why I didn't post as much back then)...but like the ladies have said, all the boards get their turn with drama...unfortunately.

Weve had specific individuals cause lots of drama over here...that was a long time ago though.
There have also been a lot of little things here and there but IMO what can you expect when you put a bunch of brides to be together? Cattiness!
At this point all I do is laugh.....dont even waste your time trying to justify anything. At the end of the day you have your FH and your real friends and thats all that matters.

there is drama when one person looks for that ONE word or that ONE quote to start it...I honestly dont think the craziness of wedding planning is an excuse. I think it is the posters personality and whether they are getting married or not, they will always be confrontational...AND if a person is willing to make comments that will spark the drama, they should be mature and responsible enough to take the sh!t they are going to get back...

Yes, some posts can be taken the wrong way..I am guiltyy of posting sometimes and then I read it back and think,,,ewww that may come across b!tchy or snotty and I will change it..becasue it was not my intention

my advice,,
you know who they are,,so just avoid them...No need for you to get all heated about it when you know they are doing to to get a rise out of ya..

this whole site is one huge pot of drama.

think about it.... 99% of the posters are women of that 99%, more than 1/2 the posters are brides to be who are full of anxiety & stress, not mention the occasional PMS episode.

I'm actually surprised that there isn't more drama than there is!

I agree with Heather - we've been here long enough to see our fair share of drama. It happens...you look, you read, you may even express an opinion but the important thing is to move on. When all is said and done it's just a bump in the road and we all get passed it.

Yes compared to other boards 05 had very little drama but when we did have it it was pretty juicy. It was mainly specific people causing the problem over and over. I think those people are just not happy in their own life and need to start problems with others. So I think for the most part we tried to ignore them...which can be very hard at times. And this is a board of mostly women so there are going to be catfights at times. But overall the advice I would give is to try to ignore it and not feed into the drama starters.
