A Million Little Pieces
I just got this book and will start it tonight. Any thoughts? It looks good so far. And, I love Oprah book club choices (most of them, anyway).

Re: A Million Little Pieces
so far (about 80 pages in) it is really good. Keeps your interest. fast read. the ONLY thing is that he writes very simply and that gets on my nerves a little. But, I am enjoying the book enough for that not to bother me tooo much. When I had foot surgery and was banished to the bed, I read the Shopaholic series. They are sooo funny and I read a book every two days because they are such fast reads. Some other ones that I loved:
The way the Crow Flies (Marie MacDonald)
The Timetravelers Wife
The Dive from Clausen's Pier
Beach Girls
There are many others that I read this summer, but I think you will definately enjoy the above mentioned books. If you need more suggestions, please don't hesitate to ask.

The Shopaholic Series were really funny. A nice quick read.I picked up 'A Million Little Pieces' the other night. After I finish my current book I plan on reading it. Everyone I know who has read it (besides Oprah) has raved about it.

I forgot to give my review as I promised. This book was great! At first, I was getting annoyed that he was writing so simply. Then, I realized that he really couldn't convey his emotions if he wrote any other way. Great book. I highly recommend it! Especially if you have been close to addiction, you really get an understanding of how this person feels and you realize that people can only change if they WANT to change. If they don't want it for themselves, then it's not going to happen.

Yes - the point is in the beginning he just was so messed up he couldnt string any cohesive thoughts together - as he gets more lucid, he begins thinking and feeling - hence the longer sentences - great writing style!!!

Any one disappointed with the controversy going on that some parts of this book is fiction? I haven't read it, but I was just wondering.

Re: A Million Little Pieces
I read it - It was ok.I liked it because I thought it was real; however now that I know he embellished it is not as interesting to me.
Honestly - there are much better books about drug abuse and addiction, IMO, out there.
