Wantagh is a better school district.

where in wantagh are u looking to live?

If you look into levittown more, try to be in island trees district... it is a better option...

Or if you are in Levittown schools..amake sure that you would be going to MacArthur High School

We just bought in Wantagh but Levittown school district (MacArthur) This is actually where I went & my mom teaches...Very good school district! Levittown schools has gotten a bad rap over the years, but personally, there is nothing wrong with it! There are plenty of LIW people who have recently bought in levittown too!

My grandmother taught in both towns....a long time ago!!!

My cousins go to MacArthur...and love it....they are both pretty good school districts....i would say that they are about the same

you can also check out www.greatschools.net and it can give you all the info you need on any school district...ethnic ratios, budget plans, it even tells you the # of kids on assisted lunches. it's great! i'm a realtor and i advise all of my buyers to check it out before investing in a home. FM if you need assistance in your home search.

Wantagh has better schools but some Wantagh residents are zoned for Levittown. so who knows. Check out the Forest City part of Wantagh, such a nice development. I grew up in North Bellmore which is nearby which has a good schools.

south of jerusalem avenue is the wantagh school district

there are 3 elementary schools (forest lake, mandalay and beech street), 1 middle school and 1 high school.

Grew up in Levittown and I am a product of their schools. Coming from a teachers point of view, you couldn't go wrong with living in either Wantagh or Levittown. Both have fabulous school districts. Levittown is just larger than the Island Trees and Wantagh, so you might tend to hear more 'things' about them.

FYI...Island trees is an award winning blue ribbon school district. That's usually the district that my buyers request to be in.

Wantagh schools are excellent. If you are buying in Levittown stick with School District #5 (Levittown Schools, MacArthur High school.) Its the best one. .
