Close to booking - Chateau Briand or Westbury Manor - please post pros and cons!

Close to booking - Chateau Briand or Westbury Manor - please post pros and cons!

Hi,

After being engaged for 9 months and pretty much having trouble finding 'the place' we have narrowed it down to Chateau Briand and Westbury Manor. Please let me know anything you can about these places! I liked them both very much even though they are very different.

PLEASE HELP!

I think both are great...the food, service and reputations are great...however the two are night and day when it comes to style of decor. I think u should ask yourself what suites you most, or what is your taste. I love CB, have been there for 3 weddings that were amazing...but the decor was too modern/art deco for me so we went with the fox hollow. Again, I don't think you could go wrong with either. good luck!!!!!!!

I completely agree with this. they are/were owned by the same people, so they probably (though this is totally an assumption on my part) have similar service and food quality, so you really just have to figure out which one suits your style more.

if you like the outdoors more and are planning on using it, then go to westbury manor. food was excellent and the people are great! love the gardens!chateau briand is beautful too though. very modern and different. the bridal suite is awesome..

I've never been to Chateau Briand, but I work for the Scotto Brothers and go with Westbury Manor!!

We just booked WM for our wedding next fall. Its so much less of a 'wedding factory' and the decor is so much more cozy and inviting. Its also beautiful in the evening or during the day. They had a bridal expo last night and we went for dinner - the service and the FOOD is awesome. (I'm not sure what pricing you got but WM was cheaper too)

I LOVE them both....but if I had yo choose i would pick WM. I was in a wedding there in wedding party there and I just loved it!

Good luck either one you will not be disappointed!

I got married at the Westbury Manor in the summer of 04. I loved the elegance of the entire place. It was beautiful at night when the cocktail hour was going on. Everyone complimented on the outdoors. And the treatment you receive is amazing. Not just to the bride and the groom but to your guest. I would definitly recommend the Westbury Manor.

How many people are u having? we almost booked the wm, but then realized the small room's dance floor is small, and depending on the amount of people it might be tight-JMO

I have to rave about WM...I always leave there feeling completely satisfied and I love the feel to it. FH and I went for our 4 yr anniversary dinner at the restaurant, and the staff was so amazing. When they found out we were getting married there, they gave us complimentary fruit and fondue for dessert. There were just so sweet and nice!
