Question for Those Who Got Their Marriage License in NYC
For those who got their licenses in Manhattan, how long did it take for you to get your marriage certificate in the mail? It seems like a lot of girls got their marriage certificates shortly after their wedding, but I wasn't sure whether the NYC office takes longer to mail them out. I'd like to get the name change tasks out of the way soon, but I haven't received my marriage certificate. TIA.

Thanks. Actually my husband just called and said our marriage certificate came in the mail today. Now I can start working on the name changing process...

5 months. Yes 5. We called and called and kept getting a voicemail or recording. DH finally got hold of a real person by calling a different office (not the license office) and asked to be transferred. They said our was never mailed, that they are so sorry, that it was mailed that day. That was last week and we still havent got it. They suck

it seems our was sent back to them. we got a letter saying it was altered or mutilated. i have bring a 25.00 money order tomorrow to get a duplicate
