Re: SWR: Is anyone on or has anyone Tired Weight Watchers CORE?

It's very similar to the Atkins diet. Only difference is that you get 35 flex points in addition, so if you have to eat something that's not CORE approved you can point it. Am I making any sense?

I tried Core, but it didn't work with me...I need the points system, so I'm on flex points.

I agree w/ CJStein...I tried Core, but it didn't work for me. I do much better w/ Points. You don't HAVE to attend meetings, but I find them helpful and supportive. I happen to have a great leader. But I've been to other meetings w/ leaders I couldn't stand. You just have to find the right fit for you.

I have been on weight watchers for a while. I lost 60 lbs doing the Flex plan. The best thing about weight watchers is you can bounce between Flex and Core on a week by week basis. I highly reccommend the meetings. Its a great way to get new ideas and they really help to motivate when you have a bad dieting week.

Re: SWR: Is anyone on or has anyone Tired Weight Watchers CORE?

Sorry about that. Sometimes I'm a spaz about explaining things...

Anyway...

Yeah, it's basically no carbs. They (WW) gives you a list of what foods are 'CORE Friendly' and you have to stick to just eating those foods. In addition to that, they give you 35 Flex Points. The thing is that you can eat as much of the CORE Food as you want. You're just supposed to eat until you feel full. Now if you want something that is not on the list, you can eat it but you have to 'point it out' that's where the 35 Flex Points they give you comes into play. So you would measure out a portion and point it. Was that better?

ETA: And yes, on the CORE plan you still have to go to meetings.

Personally, I need to work on portion control so I've stayed away from this plan b/c it doesn't work on that aspect of losing weight.
