Wedding invitation wording....

OK, below is the invitations we finally decided on after discussing several options, we decided this was more simple and formal.

My question, how do you like the wording we chose? It's a mixture of several verses we saw:

Believing that Holy Matrimony
is ordained by God
We, Aida
and
Elliot
request the honour of your presence
to share a happy and sacred moment
as we are united together in marriage
before God and His church
on Day
Year
at Time
Location
Address
City, State

I agree that since there aren't any parents mentioned you should put your last names in, maybe even a middle initial if you like how that looks. The wording seems fine otherwise.

Re: Wedding invitation wording....

Christine hit the nail on the head! The only other thing that bothers me is the word 'moment'. You're inviting your guests to enjoy more than just that one moment. How about using the word 'celebration' instead? Of course only if you like how it sounds!!

But it's really lovely, those are beautiful invitations!!
