Hyatt Aruba difficulties

Sorry to vent, but UGH - I cancelled our Hyatt Aruba reservation over a month ago and the credit has yet to show up on the charge card!

I've called the Hyatt reservations line 3 times and all they can tell me is it was credited on 9/22. But it's not on the credit card, and I even called them to confirm.

Now the Hyatt says I have to call Aruba to look into this further. Yeah right, on my cell phone - think I can call collect??

I just sent an email to the hotel directly... hopefully they can get this straightened out soon.

Makes me glad I switched our reservation to the Radisson!!!

Re: Hyatt Aruba difficulties

Wow.. That stinks. Bu the good thing is that you still have plenty of time - I doubt your room will be booked. Let us know what happens. Lots ofluck. Im going to Aruba too. We are staying at the Radisson.

Re: Hyatt Aruba difficulties

Call their corporate headquarters.
And if that doesn't work [and it should]..dispute the original charge with your credit card company.

Re: Hyatt Aruba difficulties

I would give them two more weeks...it really does take 4-6 weeks to show up on YOUR credit cards statement...

Re: Hyatt Aruba difficulties

Thanks for the support guys - I got an email back from Hyatt Aruba (I'd talked w/corporate a few times already), and they just told me the same thing, that it had already been credited. So I called the credit card company and they're sending papers to submit a dispute. (BTW, this is the same credit card we've had ongoing problems with since an unauthorized charge showed up from the jeweler where FH got my e-ring set )

M&S - I hope you're right though and it's just taking a really long time to go through!!
