i used to work by grand central and there was always a guy on the south side of lex across from the entrance to gc station....somewhere between 44-42 street. not sure if he is still there, but i would check, since it is not too far from where u are.

Are you talking about getting a real one or one of those from the street vendors?
I have a few real ones that I've received as gifts (usually $90+) but I have PLENTY of the "cheap" "fake" ones from the street vendors - they do the job and they have a lot of colors...keeps me warm!
There's a street guy on 50th and Madison (North West side of the street) - i go to him all the time....$5

Cheap and fake is fine with me especially if they're $5. Do you know when the street vendor on 50th and Madison is out (mornings, afternoon)? Thanks for your help.
I always see him at lunch into the evening.

There is also a guy on 45th and 6th Avenue... I got all my B-Maids pashminas from him for $5...
