Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Has anyone stayed at any of the all inclusive hotels here. It's my FI 30th b-day soon and i want to surprise him with a vacation in the spring. Anyone that has info PLEASE HELP!

a few weeks ago was our THIRD time in 2 years! we love it there!!!! what would you like to know? The most expensive, least expensive, water, atmosphere?

we stayed at Iberostar Dominicana few years ago and had a great time!!! we also stayed at Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus in LaRomana, DR and we loved that hotel even better... there is a great website with a lot of reviews, check it out it might help you DEBBIES

we stayed at Secrets, all inclusive couples only. It was very nice, we didn't care too much for the food but that's everyone's personal preference. It was clean, and gorgeous.

It was 3K for 7 nights, with airfare for both of us. can't beat it! we went in June 04.

I have stayed at the Paridisus Punta Cana and loved it!

I also went to a wedding last year and stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana...very nice.

I just got back on Sunday from one week at secrets excellence. I got my flights using my AA miles. The hotel for two people including insurance was 1600. My travel agent found a great deal. I had a great time - met a couple from Brooklyn that we are very close with now and got a great tan.

I would say this is a good place for a vacation not soo good for honeymooners - heard a lot of complaints from people we met. Also the car ride from the airport to the hotel is about 90 mins.

You can't go wrong with any of these hotels. I've heard they're all great.

My coworker actually went to punta cana for her honeymoon. They stayed at Secrets and she said it was a excellent choice. She only paid about $1400 for 2 people for a week but that might be because she went in October which I think it was hurricane season ( I could be wrong though).
