FH is driving me crazy!

I am doing everything to plan this wedding!!! I gave him 2 tasks of the long list of things there are to be done...research the honeymoon and get the tuxedos. He just called me and told me he needs me to call the travel agent and get more info on the Virgin Islands and that he told her the other day that I would stop by later to pick up brochures. And he knows I'm working today!!! And last night I asked him about when he plans to get the tuxedos and he keeps saying he'll get to it when he gets a chance! Between sports and video games, he never gets a chance!!! Is anyone else going thru this??? Or is my FH just a pain in my a**????

I do all the research also. To FH's credit, he did come with me on every vendor appointment and give me his opinion.

For the honeymoon, at least he is making an effort, although if you're working, I would ask him to get the brochures. As for the tuxedos, you don't even have to worry about that until February at the earliest. (I'm not having my FH bother with tuxedos until January).

that stinks.... at least hes making an effort to start looking at the honeymoon... but you might have to step in there soon... lol
the tuxes, i wouldn't worry about yet at all... i got married on june 25th, and i didn't go till like march ( about 3 months before) to order them... they said that was plenty of time... cause its not like the girls dresses that have to be made- they already have the tuxes in stock- they just need to know which sizes to have ready for that day....if you know what store you want to go to, i would call them and ask- but i think for most, like 3 or 4 months is good... so wait till after the holidays

My FH does NOTHING as well!
Everytime I ask his opinion on something, he says 'Whatever you want babe.'
When the time comes for him to go Tuxedo shopping, I already know that I'll be right there with him since he is incapable of doing anything wedding-related on his own!

Oh I know! He already said I have to go when he looks at Tuxes because he doesn't know what to get. But the funny thing is when I'm making the plans and booking/buying things for the wedding, he gets upset b/c I didn't ask him first!

Are you sure we aren't marring the same guy! My FH is suppose to decide what he wants to wear at our wedding, because there won't be any Tuxes, and I still get 'I don't know!' 'I'll get to it when I have time.' Samething here, video games mostly and sometimes paint ball!

Mine is totally the same.
I thought I was alone on this. He came with me when we were looking at catering halls but now the rest is up to me. It makes me crazy sometimes.
Oh, I will definitely have to be with him when it comes to tuxedo shopping.

You and me are in the same boat I just expresses to him the same thing about me doing it all I gave him the same 2 tasks needless to say I am the one looking up where to go and and telling him when he needs to get his guys together and get the tuxedos....but fh is running his own buissnes and we just got a new house that has a few inns and outs we need to get used to sooo ...... I untill i drag him out the house to get his tuxedos that is how it will be.....

Believe me, this is totally normal. I gave my FI simple tasks, and I usually ended up finishing them off. To his credit, he has gone to every vendor meeting and has been involved by giving his input, but as for relying on him to get things done on his own, nope. I'm better off taking the reins and getting it done quickly. Less stress that way!

Lets see. FH has to:

-Get Rings
-Arrange for his Aufruf (honor before the Torah in Temple the Shabbat before the wedding)
-Contact his friends to find out what the names of their significant others are so they can be invited.
-Get Groomsmen gifts
-Get a copy of his parent's ketubah so we can fill out our properly

I could go on for days but unless I nag him to death NOTHING gets done

As I'm reading all your posts I have come up with one, consoling opinion:

We are ALL dealing with the same issue!!!!

I only gave my FH one task... the DJ. (I think it's all he can handle to be honest)

Otherwise, I get the automative FH response
'Whatever you want honey, I trust your opinion.'

I swear, sometimes I'm tempted to book clowns, circus entertainers, serve sloppy joes and make them drink warm beer and see what he says then.

What does FH mean?

On this one...I sent out 90% of our STDs 3 months ago...the ones left to go out...ones for his friends that I need addresses for...STILL don't have them!!! :stompingfoot:

You're not alone w/ that! I've asked my FH about a million times to contact this band to play at CH. They'll be cheaper b/c they're friends of his, and probably save me between $400-$600. And anytime I try to talk about the wedding, and update him, he says 'Not now' And I asked him to start thinking of songs he'd like for us, and just whatever, he was like 'give me a week to think about it' And has he thought about it? PROBABLY NOT. He's a pain in my a** too!!!!

He doesn't really care what flowers I pick out and I already took care of limos and flowers. He gets annoying when I want to talk about wedding stuff and he's playing games or watching UFC stuff over and over again. Men are pains! They think weddings get planned with no effort!

Ok well I just attempted to tell FH that I picked our wedding colors and he said ' I don't care! You're gonna chnage your mind 1,000 times anyway!'
How rude! He's lucky I'm in a good mood today!!!
