patken photography

i booked with them today....i have an appointment on tues. can anyone give me advice on a good photographer from there. i've heard they are all good but i've particularly heard good things about steve..thanks

You really just have to look through the books and see what photos you really fall in love with. what photos really move you. ask who took those. then you will find who your photographer is.

That's what we did. we looked through albums and found we kept liking certain photos over the others and found out it was a certain photographer. We booked him.

Everybody has a different taste. What one person thinks is fabulous, you may find is not your style.

I also used Vinnie - I loved my pics. I think he has a more 'unique' style even though he does take a lot of the Patken standard pics.

I sat with him before the wedding and went over what type of pics I wanted and he definitely delivered.

i booked vinny, bc i like his style. you have to see what you like more. Steve and Vinny do more contempory. If you like more traditional there are people like John and etc. they have about 12 photographers. I suggest going through the books to see which shots you like the best.

I had Evan & he was AWESOME!!! Nobody on this board mentions him & it's too bad because he did such an amazing job, I was blown away when I got my proofs. He did a mix of both photojournalistic & traditional. And from what Doug told me, he personally trained Evan way back in the day, so if you are aware of how great Doug is, that should tell you something. And I work in the photo industry so I am extremely picky with photographs.
