Finally Got Our Wedding Album....Super Delicate

I knew it would be...but I'm regretting choosing such a non-user friendly style. It's gorgeous--the cover is lineny, satin in wine. The pages are creme white, with a torn edge style, and rice paper sits on each photo, which you turn......but still. The rice paper can rip...finger prints can get on the pages. Why didn't I think of this before? Our parent albums are awesome. Black leather, and each page has mats. But I didn't want a black album....I got what I wanted......it's amazing. But I know it'll sit in the box cause I'll be nervous to have people handle it. Vent....

Sounds like it is GORGEOUS!!! I love rice paper. Its worth being delicate. Just give everyone a pair of plastic gloves before they view it!!

Diva...I feel like I should! I have to bring it over to show my ILs...and when I showed my parents I felt like I was hovering over them. My dad's like...'Um, I'll just stand over Mom.' He didn't want to touch it!

Mind you, this is the style album he first showed us when we met with him on Day one, and I fell in love with its grace. Oh well!

Actually, after I showed all the proofs to everyone, no one has really asked to see the album! After those few initial looks, not too many people will handle it besides you, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

How about YOU do all the page turning when someone wants to see it - that way you cant blame anyone else if something happens. But I am thinking nothing will - they cant possibly make wedding albums that fragile!

My photographer has the same one for his own wedding, and he's had it years and years w/out incident......we'll see!

how 'bout some 'rules' before allowing anyone to lok at it---

1. one will wear gloves while turning pages.

2. no drinking or eating in the immediate vicinity of the album.

3. no coughing, sneezing, or heck, talking (saliva might splatter onto the pages)

4... (you get the idea)

Franksbride...I wish! We don't have a scanner at home, though it's on the X-mas list!

As it is, the only measley photos I got to show from our wedding were some proofs my photog had scanned. I'm a bad LIW bride! ha ha
