When do day weddings start at....

I am toying with the idea of having a Saturday day wedding in June. as opposed to Sat nite or Sunday nite.

What time does the hall want to do the ceremony and reception? I would prefer ceremony at 1pm.

And how early do I need to start getting ready??

Re: When do day weddings start at....

We had a Sunday day wedding, ceremony starting at 11:30. I doubt you can have a Saturday day wedding starting at 1 b/c it probably wouldn't be enough time for the hall to clean up and set up for the evening affair.

ETA: Hair and make-up came to the hotel at 6 am.

Re: When do day weddings start at....

I'm having a sunday wedding. ceremony begins at 11:15 a.m. and the whole day will be over by 5 p.m.

i agree that it might be hard to have a wedding start at 1 for a daytime reception. only way that can happen if you do a place that has only 1 wedding a day. (i.e. - millerplaceinn)

Re: When do day weddings start at....

Our wedding is during the day on SUn. The ceremony is at 12:00. CH 12:30-1:30, reception 1:30-5:30.
I think I am going to get up around 5:30, and ask the hair make up people to be there by 6:30, I want to be out of my house by 9, and at WM by 9:30 for pics.

Re: When do day weddings start at....

I don't know if you're looking at any specific places, but when I went to see Vineyard Caterers they told me that on Sunday they only do 1 wedding, so you could have it start whenever you wanted. So maybe some other places do that as well?

Re: When do day weddings start at....

Thanks.
I am between The Venetain and Villa Lombardis. I haven't asked yet about day weddings. I have the times for the night weddings. Villa only has days left or Sunday night. I have a choice at the Venetian.
