Hi Ladies

Think waaaay back to the hall selection process - how involved was FH?!

We've looked at sooo many places, and because FH is a teacher, I find it easier to see places without him sometimes.

Today, for example, I went to Thatched Cottage alone. He didn't even have many questions for me when I came home. He just asked if I liked it.

I told him, YES, and we're going back for a tasting. He just smiled and said OK, it's up to you, babe.

This is driving me crazy!!! He's so easygoing, I actually WANT some involvement!

Be careful what you wish for. We have an excel chart for every aspect of the wedding and it aint from me.

i went to 15 halls then i picked my top 3 then we picked from there.

i didnt want to drag him everywhere i just wanted to take him to the places i loved.

it was funny seeing the other fiances being dragged around to the places. i just dragged my friends.

honestly, i went alone today and it wasn't that bad.

But I wish I had someone to talk to about the place!!!

I guess I'll just have to talk to him after the tasting.

we both went to 14 diff halls.....
i really couldnt go look at halls w/o him sinc i dont drive but he actually WNATED To be involved in it..and when it came down to picking b/w crest hollow n leonards he was like you choose!!! so, i did

Due to our different schedules FH didn't go to any with me, instead I had my mom come along. Then when he got home I'd 'report' to him my findings. He went with me to one and then I took him to Stonebridge where we decided to book.

Your FH sounds normal, I wouldn't get too upset. He just wants you to be happy. To some guys, all the halls are the same!

My FH has been super involved with everything.. but in the end I made the final decision.. but he asked questions and went any and every where I wanted too.. he been very good.. he is the best!

and omg i cant remember where else...
well it was a LOT more

I'm in suffolk, and trying to STAY in Suffolk!

The furthest we'll look in Nassau is Woodbury (Fox hollow)

I chose other, I was on my own with this for a while. He wasn't involved until he called into work on a day where I had planned to see as many halls as I could. He came with me on that day, and the second hall we saw we booked!

my FH is def involved... we have done everything together so far and will continue doing the same. I make the appointments around both of our schedules and just tell him where and when we have to be there. As for the hall especially I just don't know how you can do it yourself because the wedding is about both of you and you both have to have that WOW feeling. We knew the second that we go there, we both looked at each other and said this is it!!!

hmmm i forget the rest

my top three were
1. giorgios (too far) the only reason it was not picked. they gave us a fantastic deal being that it was 'off season'
2. Leonards- again loved everything about it. however my parents were suppost to get married there (long story) now there divorced my mother didnt want it. im sure my father didnt either. whatever!
3. fox hollow they gave us the most food and everything for our money and though it would be just perfect for us. also the hotel next door is so convient.

I went to 18 places with my mother. I chose 2 or 3 that I wanted him to go to and he came to those. I actually ended up booking our hall before he saw it though b/c he couldn't get there.

everyone is different don't stress if he wasn't involved.. in the long run they all come around!

Mine falls under 'other'. I went to look at tons of halls. He went back with me to look at the ones that I was really serious about. He has gone w/ me to showcases and stuff too.

John wants to be involved in everything! He came with me to all of the halls we looked at. We looked at Milleridge, Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor, and Swan Club.

FH actually made the final decision and evn went back by himself to a contract drawn up before he decided on what place... That's US.. i pick a few things i like then he decides.. which is why i can not pick a dress!!!! i have 2 i love and he refuses to see them and pick one for me!! heehee..

adding he went to every hall with me we went to about 10!

I'm also an 'other'. I went to The Swan Club, Carltun on The Sound, The Old Field Club, The Riviera, Coindre Hall, Louis XVI, Giorgios, Stonebridge CC and Beach Club Estate with my mom. I brought him back to Giorgios.

I went to Stuart Manor CC, Vanderbuilt Mansion in Oakdale, Sans Souci, East Wind and George Washington Manor alone. I brought him back to East Wind.

We went to deSeversky, Bourne Mansion, Atlantis Marine World, The Meadow Club, Middle Island CC, Watermill, and Harbor Club together. Mom also came to the Bourne & Harbor Club.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few places. But you get the general idea. The original plan was for me and my mom to go look and narrow it down to three for him to look at, but then mom decided she was the third wheel. So I went either alone or with him. At the time we were looking he worked on Saturday.
