Update...about the bride who was booking same hall and same day

So, many of you girls responded to my post from earlier in the week about the girl from my FH's family who was considering booking her wedding on the same day as mine and AT THE SAME HALL. well i found out last night that she wound up booking the week before my wedding and the impt thing is it is not at my hall. Even though i am a little p***** that she jumped in front of us by one week considering we have been booked for over a year and they just got engaged last week, I am sooo relieved to know she didn't book the same date as us and at the SAME hall. Just thought everyone would want to know. You were all so supportive!!!!
People are sooo rude!!!!

I am sooooo happy to hear that she didn't book the other room at your hall on your day. It s***s that she booked a week before you, but IMHO, when people in the same family do that, the entire rest of the family recognizes that they are insecure, and have only done so because of the need to compete.

Aww I am so happy it worked out... so what let her jump in front of you... your wedding will be the one lasting in people's minds!

That might actually work out anyway because now she'll probably be on her hm for yours and not be able to come.

Yeah. I would still be pissed that she booked the wedding a week before yours. What a biatch!!!!

But what would get me is that people will assume because your wedding is the week after you booked 2nd I think that was wrong and I'd be poed. but don't let it get to you my fiance keeps telling me forget about everyone else this day is about us and he is right really. oh I can tell I am going to need alot of help from these boards

Yeah, what i am gonna do. Booking the week before me doesn't seem like too big of a deal in comparison to the fact that she was considering booking OUR SAME DATE AND AT OUR SAME HALL. It was soooo frustrating!!!! Everyone knows we have had our date for so long and BEFORE she had hers. We got engaged June 0f 2004 and set our date in July of 2004 and she got engaged November of 2005!!!! ONE YEAR AND 5 MONTHS AFTER US!!!! Whatever....
Atthis point...whocares...but I have heard some pretty rude things happen to brides...but picking the same date and same hall as another family member (even though not someone too close) I think we can all agree takes the cake!!!!!

Well, I just felt so compelled to write this after reading the post by 'Jimmysgrl'. I know we all tend to complain and vent every so often...I am guily of it also...(just read this post)...but we all need to take a step back and let all of the small things go. What Danielle is going through at this time is so devasting and no one should ever have to experince it in their lives...especially 4 weeks before your wedding. Booking the same hall..or date...or booking a wedding before mine, or after...is not tragic....those things are small in the grand scheme of things. We must all remember the reason we are getting married and that family around us is all that matters!!!!!!!!I am guilty, like many other brides, of complaining over stupid/miniscule things...but in life...that stuff is really not that important! Just thought i would share this!!!!

I'm happy to know she had brains enough not to book on the same day as you even if it is a bit shady that she would jump right in front of you, so to speak. I think you'll have an amazing turnout no matter what so don't worry about it.

My cousin did that to her brother, and she wasn't even engaged yet. She got married 2 weeks before him.

While there isn't a rule that you have to book your date after others who were engaged before you or already booked before you, it sounds like this girl purposly did this to you...

At least you don't have a lot of family in common!! As we learned from Jimmysgrl, and I know from my own personal issues, it could be worse...you will still have a beautiful wedding day all your own!!
