dress sizes

are brides dresses typically the same sizes as BM dresses? i.e. is a size 4 bridal gown the same size 4 BM dress?

Re: dress sizes

I am a size 0 or 3 depending on designer. My wedding gown is a size 10
They say it is double of what you wear is what they order you. All my girls gowns are between sizes 10-14. Ridiculous.

Re: dress sizes

Some people say its because they use the sizing standards from years ago. I say its so it can throw average sized people into plus sizes and thus charge them more. Its a scam I tell you. Though since the average size of an American woman is a 16, they would actually have more women who wear 10s or 12s wearing bridal plus sizes. Just a theory.

Re: dress sizes

depends on he cuts of the dress every maker has a different size run..I am usually a 2 or 3 and my dress is ordered in a 6. I guess my dress is closer to the sizes in the market now. BUt i remember other dresses I tried like the same that it perectly and i was like o what size is this and it was like a 10 or a 12. So it all depends on the maker...

sont let it get you down. As long as it looks good no one needs to know the size
