LA Blossom and High Voltage Sounds! REVIEW

I used them both for my DH's party.

The hall is in NJ, and my cousin is the banquet manager. My cousin will probably be thrown out of the family once he comes home from his vacation I'm not going to bother with a review of the hall because no one would end up there anyway. The food was good. That's the positive part of that.

Now for the LI vendors!

LAURIE FROM LA BLOSSOM IS THE OFFICIAL FLOWER GODDESS!!!!!!!! Laurie did the flowers for my wedding in May 04. People STILL talk about that! She also did the flowers for DH's party on Fri night. I didn't have my camera and I didn't get any other pics back, yet. But, I brought home a CP and took pics at home. And, my mom just called me and said 'You better call that woman because she is amazing!' Here are pics of the CP and DH's bout AFTER the party. They still look pristine!!! And, my mom said that she dumped all the water out of her vase, drove the flowers home with no water for a 1 hour ride, and they actually FELL out of the vase. She got home, reassembled them and right now they still look PERFECT

Laurie is just AWESOME!!! We only traded a few emails back and forth and she PERFECTED what I wanted. Again, she went above and beyond my expectations. When I picked up the flowers, I was just staring at them in awe. Finally, she reminded me that I had to start heading back

VINNY FROM HIGH VOLTAGE is awesome as well!!! He was great!!! He did some extra things to keep the party flowing. (IMO, the Maitre D was worthless. Especially when his cell phone rang while we were singing happy birthday to DH...or how he lost it and spent about 1/2 an hour looking for it)

Luckily, Vinny got on the mic and announced 'The Maitre D will light the candles now and then we will sing happy birthday' I honestly think that if Vinny didn't make that announcement, the Maitre D would have forgotten all about the cake, us...the party. I don't know- he might have even fallen asleep in the back room.

Vinny is VERY EASY to work with! He is definitely a no nonsense vendor. And, he's very honest (DJ's don't charge tax ) I already knew this, but I always ask, just as an 'honesty litmus test'. Vinny was THE ONLY DJ I spoke to who was HONEST. Other DJs said 'yes, we charge tax' a few said 'oh, well for you I won't charge tax' Vinny was honest and nice, and polite- and just all around AWESOME!

Laurie really IS the flower goddess! She did my wedding, my sister's wedding, my aunt's wedding AND I used her for a work function. Everyone STILL raves about our flowers, too Glad you were happy! The flowers looked great!
