Summer through early fall brides
How are you going to deal with your tan lines???I tan easily and I keep tan lines throughout the whole year. My gown is strapless and it is slightly low cut in the back. I dont think tanning will cover them all up. Any suggestions about how I can tan through the summer without getting crazy tan lines???
Also- Fh and I spend much of the summer at his vaction home in PA on a lake. Therefore, going strapless or topless is out of the question

I'm just going to be careful & then try to even it out at the tanning salon.

Me, too - the occasional tanning salon prior to wedding, I'm a June bride and don't want to look washed out!

I also keep tan lines all year. Starting with early spring I will stop wearing my watch while driving or at the beach, and will not go to the beach unless I'm wearing a strapless top. I'm hoping it will even out.

I am going to do this too. If you wear a high number sun-block when you are in the sun a lot with clothes, as opposed to a bathing suit, you can prevent from getting tan lines. I'm talking about a #30 or above. Then, when you want to tan, you can use a much lower number of sunblock and wear clothes that will give you a tan line that will be ok with your dress.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
I plan to buy a bandeau bikini, and will probably wear alot of tube tops early in the summer. My wedding is pretty early in the summer, so I am not too too worried.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
Oh Im gonna make sure that my tan lines are evened out...I think that is the worst thing to see...tan lines on your wedding day...since my wedding day is during the Labor Day weekend, I'll already have my tan from the summer and I'll just continue going to the tanning salon to maintain it...and even out the tanning lines.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
I'm ONLY going to wear a bandeau (sp?) bikini, which has no straps!!! (Even though i'll probably only get to the beach a few times befire June 10th!!) And when I go tanning at a salon I don't wear a bikini top.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
Thankfully I'm late spring/early summer so I won't have too much of a tan. But I'll prob get something strapless so that I can get some color. I just have to be careful that I won't burn!!

I have been doing the same. I hate tan lines. Good thing I don't need support, because it doesn't give you any!

I'm the same way, plus I think my bachelorette pty is going to be on a beach somewhere. Tanning salon before the wedding is my only hope to even things out, I think.

Me too!! I am in the middle of August also, so I have to be careful not to get that weird tank top tan! Have you thought about the spray tan? Another LI bride did it and she looked great in her pics! Other than that, I guess I will go to the tanning salon if I am having issues...

Re: Summer through early fall brides
I have already thought about this since my dress is also strapless. I plan to purchase a strapless bathing suit and only wear that until the wedding. Tan lines look very unflattering in a strapless wedding dress. We spend a lot of time boating...

I'm going to wear strapless as well. Also, I'll go to the tanning salon starting about 1 month before the wedding.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
Can you wear some type of tube top and lots of sunscreen while at the lake, then go tanning? You can also try the spray tan, in the booth, you won't get any lines from that.

Re: Summer through early fall brides
i'm kind of worried about the same thing, but with my back, as my dress dips low in back. i have tried the professional spray tan and it really works, so i might do that.Welcome New Vendors
