cutting it close....

My bridesmaids dresses came in October....three of my girls went this weekend to pick them up and try them on. I just got a call last night that one of their dresses was ordered in the wrong size and is too small and needs to be re-ordered and it won't be in until Januaray 27th!!!!!!!!!!! they will then have to do whatever alterations need to be done.

They also said one of my other bridesmaids dresses may also be the wrong size and may need to be re-ordered but she still hasn't had the time to go try it on to determine if it needs to be ordered and the longer she waits the later it will come back in!!!

i just needed to vent ...

I would have them rapid ship them and the salon should pay the cost! You may also want to try bridesave.com The sometimes do rush orders quicker!! Good luck!

they tried to get it earlier but the designer said they couldnt b/c the dress is out of stock and they wait until more dresses are ordered and make them in batches

I should add this time I really don't think the salon is at fault - i sat next to the woman as she ordered the dresses so unless she called back and changed the sizes i think its the designer ordered wrong or filled the order wrong!! The salon is only charging for shipping and handling which is better than having to pay for a whole new dress i guess.
