christmas card question

is it anti-etiquette to send a Christmas card with our pic on it even though we are not married (but living together)?

then that raises the point -can we send christmas cards and sign both of our names to it before we are married?

like our engagement pic on the cover
then inside

Love
Melissa & fh?

whats your thought on this

Re: christmas card question

It's absolutely OK!! I plan on sending out my Xmas cards with FH's name on them too!! You're not saying that you're married, or using his name before the wedding, you just want to wish Happy Holidays to everyone as a couple. No false advertising there!!

Re: christmas card question

Oh yes, it's fine I did that, we got engaged in Nov, so that year I sent xmas cards with our pic announcing our engagement.

Last year I sent out cards from us as well, no pic but I ordered these cute labels from www.visaprint.com

A couple riding a sleigh, saying

Soon to Be Mr and Mrs. Mxxxx
one set with my return address
one set with his return address

Everyone thought it was too cute, I got great feedback from everyone!

Re: christmas card question

Last year, we sent x-mas cards from both of us (we live together). As far as I know, there was no talk of scandal. We'll do the same this year.

Re: christmas card question

I was thinking about doing this w/ my e-pics, b/c I didn't know what else we were supposed to do w/ them!! Can you just sign them 'Jane' and 'John', no last names?

If you're picture is on the front of the card, I don't think you need to sign your last names.

Re: christmas card question

I love picture christmas/holiday cards! FI and I were not engaged for last holiday and our card was a pic of us cutting down our Christmas tree. Everyone loved it! This year we plan to do a pic card again and work it into an informal save the date.

Re: christmas card question

We dont celebrate Christmas but I do plan on sending holiday cards once we are married. We saw one of those 'Bears in Chairs' at the mall that said 'Our first Chanukah' and i really wanted it but decided to wait until it was official.

Re: christmas card question

Mel,
You are fine. We are sending out Xmas cards to everyone signed by both of us. You are a forever couple now and I think your freidns and family will enjoy getting a card from you, especially with your pic on it. You are engaged and will be married next year, its not like you are dating for 3 mos
