NWR: I am so upset about my job

So I work at a small law firm on w/ like 8 attys. It is like this little clan and someone heard me yelling at two different adversaries. I was yelling because my old male adversaries treat me like poop because I am a young female lawyer. I am treated so bad and my bosses don't protect me at all from the treatment and now, I was just called into a meeting and they told me I was too 'emotional' but what they don't understand is how hard it is in this field and how terribly I am treated by adversaries... I mean they hang up on me and their egos just get in the way and they are unable to deal with me. So now I am soo upset about what they said and I hate them. I want to go and cry but if they see me upset then I am too 'emotional.' I don't want what to do. My boss hasn't helped at all and I have been doing this for only one year and I have no HELP. And now they have the nerve to attack me?
Anyone know any lawyers hiring?

I'm sorry about your situation at work. I'm an RN and I know what it's like to have people talk down to you, or treat you like you're beneath them. I've had some heated words w/some of the Doc's in my 8 yrs of nursing but you just sort of learn how to handle different personalities. If you are that unhappy maybe you should look elsewhere but keep in mind that work politics and difficult people exist in any work environment.

I'm so sorry You don't need to take that from anybody! Perhaps you could start getting your resume out there or hire a headhunter to find a better place for you.

u shouldn't have to put up w/ the cr@p. but in your field, it's something that comes up often...
people feel the need to compete and make others look bad.

i know that starting out as a young attorney is hard (fh is in that position), plus add having to deal w/ the boys club for you as a woman is also difficult...

there are other jobs out there, and the hiring season will get into full swing in dec-jan.

I know what you mean. I was an administrator at a small office of a larger firm and since I was a rookie in the field, they felt that they could treat me like trash. It was difficult. I got out of the field, but since you are an attorney I know that there are other offices that are better.

Good luck and you don't have to be treated like that.
