Did anyone have wedding guests that gave no gift?

I know I have seen this posted a few times a while back. But I'm just curious if any recent brides had guests not give anything.

Only one, but then when we came home from our HM we saw a card w/a check.

I had a doctor give us no gift as well!

I also had about 5 other people who gave us no gift either!

I had a doctor give us no gift as well!

I also had about 5 other people who gave us no gift either!

I could NEVER go to a wedding without a gift. I don't even go to someone's house for dinner without a bottle of wine or dessert.

we had a few... 2 in the bridal party believe it or not and a couple of family members who traveled here for the wedding. I don't expect p[eople who traveled to give a gift. I am sure they spent hundreds to get here, their presence is enough, but they didn't even get a card. I would have liked a card.

yes we had 3. We received a gift the other day
from one of them. The other 2 nothing, not even a card.......I know that both of them are going through $$$ problems but at least give a card.

1 of DH's brothers didn't give us anything. neither did 3 of his cousins or a few of his friends and relatives who couldn't make the wedding.

Yep - we had 5 people not give us gifts!! They say you have up to a year, but personally, I think that is bullsh*t!

Yup. One couple did not. I was really surprised, since I would never have guessed it of them--they are pretty generous usually.

When they got married, my personal life was an absolute mess, and I started to question whether I had somehow forgotten to give them a gift. It bothered me, so one night I pulled out my old financial statements, and yes, I did give them a gift. Quite generous too, esp. considering I had no money at the time!

It annoyed me, but what can you do? Maybe they are having financial problems, I really don't know, though they could at least have sent a card.

Yes, we had quite a few!!! Our friends keep telling us they will and you technically have up to a year.

2 guests that attended the wedding did not give a gift. Oh, well. I know that they are going through some financial problems. But, I agree, a card would've been nice.

we received a gift from a couple that did not attend our wedding a little more than 2 months after our wedding.

We did not receive anything from the no show who also promised to send us her gift.
