LI Vineyard Brides
Hey ladies...for those of you who have started planning your vineyard wedding or who have already had one, you've found out there's a lot to do, lots of details to think about...Please post your ideas, experiences, and questions here for all to benefit from!
So far, I've got the band, photo/video, caterer, and tent.
I'm currently working on getting a valet service and bakery for the cake...and then florist...need ideas for decor beyond centerpieces too (corner plants, entryway, etc.)!

Re: LI Vineyard Brides
Hi, I'm getting married at a vineyard but they are a catering hall as well, so I don't need a tent and all that jazz, but that all sounds amazing! But if you have any really great ideas as far as vineyard themed things.....please share and I'll do the same.
Good luck and Congratulations!!!!!

Hi! I am just starting the process of making appointments at the vineyards. What made you choose Pellegrini? I am going to Raphael, Pellegrini, Bedell/Corey Creek, and Castello di Borghese. I also want to check out Vineyard Caterers. I'd love to hear your suggestions! Thanks

Re: LI Vineyard Brides
I was married in September at Vineyard Caterers. They put on an amazing affair. I definately was into the the theme and would be happy to help anyone who is planning a wedding out there. One thing I do want to note, I would highly recommend booking rooms at the hotels pretty earlier on if you are going to have a lot of out of town guests. For our wedding everyone stayed at the Best Western.
For themed stuff, I had my florist use wine bottle I collected as my centerpieces. She decorated them with flowers and grapes.
In addition, I had wine corks as my favor which I got from Linda's Lovelies. She was willing to meet the cheapest price I got online for the favors.
I found an invitation through Linda's Lovelies that has grapes on it. She was able to direct me right to them. She discounts on invitations as well.
We used a great Limo company. They were called Serenity Limousines and they are a company on this site. They offered us a van service from LGA and Kennedy airport for a reasonable price to Riverhead. They gave us a good deal for a car to the airport for our honeymoon since we used them for our wedding.
Please feel free to FM with any questions

I was also married at Vineyard Caterers this past October. They did a wonderful job--DH and I were very happy with the service we received. We also went with the vineyard theme a bit. I would post pics, but they aren't scanned. If you have any questions let me know.

I've attended a wedding at Vineyard Caterers. It was spectacular!!! However there really wasent any relation to the outside winery b/c you werent allowed as guests or even the married couple to enter. If you are looking for a true Vineyard Theme, a great one out east to check out is Martha Clara.

Re: LI Vineyard Brides
We were married at a south shore winery, so most of my vendors were from the hamptons...and they were all great! I highly recommend the julie bluestone trio (we had them play as guests were arriving, for the ceremony, and for the cocktail hour.) I used Beth from Amagansett Flowers and Food & Co. for catering (Michelle was FANTASTIC!)

Did you Vineyard girls, have liquor or just wine at your wedding reception?

Re: LI Vineyard Brides
We had a full open bar and also a wine bar at our wedding. The way Raphael was set up was that there was a big round wine bar in the middle where they normally do the wine tastings, and there is a smaller bar on the side for the liquors. Our guests definitely had all the drinks that they want!!! They also made special bellinis for us.

We will have the tasting room serving wine from the vineyard, and then our caterer supplies a bar for the reception area with beer, wine, soda, and liquor (5-6 main kinds cover just about everyone).

Re: LI Vineyard Brides
We just did beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. 98 percent of our guests drank wine, and no one seemed to mind the lack of hard liquor. Heading to the wineries this weekend too!!!

Pelligrini is so beautiful - your wedding will be lovely!Right now I am in the process of getting the tent and rentals in order, as well as the music.
I am working with Jens Florist. They are friendly and know the vineyards well. They suggested I identify corners and areas where I want plants. We are also planning on using some grapevine and candles for the cocktail tables.
