Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

I have four girls in my bridal party all together, and would love to have them each show their individual personality, but all wear the same color & fabric.

Any suggestions on designers that offer dresses or 2 pcs with different tops that this would work well with?

Or - has anyone purchased fabric and let their bridesmaids have dresses made for them?

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

We chose Bill Levkoff dresses. Three of my BMs are 35 and preferred 2 piece sets. The other two are teenagers and felt that one piece dresses were better for them. Dress #2, 3, and 5 are the sets. 1 and 4 are theone piece dresses. This is what we came up with. Euro satin - navy.

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

I did this with my bridesmaids and it worked out beautifully so far!!! I chose alfred angelo and the color and each one chose a dress they loved and now they are all happy they look gorgeous and picked gowns that really compliment each other (my MOH and 2 Bridesmaids selected gowns with mermaid trains and my Junior bridesmaids selected chiffon empire waist dresses)!! Alfred Angelo has a huge line of dresses and has two pieces (that was the original idea but only one girl chose the two piece) David's bridal also has a large assortment of two piece dresses.

Goodluck and keep us updated!! FM if you have any questions.

Hi I did Bill Levkoff too--each girl picked dresses that they felt comfortable in and they are all wearing black--There are so many different types of dresses--and they all have the chance to pick something they love :)

Oh and by having them each pick the style they want, there is MUCH less of a chnce they will complain.

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

each of my girls have a different style dress and all the same color. my moh has a more embelished dress and will stand out more. the BM dresses are from raylia designs and we are ordering them online from ellapark bridal.com. they are super fabulous and have excellent customer service staff. (and also very reasonable prices, my girls are saving at least $50 on their dresses if not more (except for FG only $25) and free shipping over $150!!!

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

We got them from David's Bridal and it has worked out wonderful. The girls feel beautiful in their own sizes and styles. We all ordered them from the same David's Bridal so that the color swatches match and then the girls either pick them up/ get them delivered.

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

Try Aria Dress (www.ariadress.com)

They're really popular in Boston since the gowns are 100% silk, are very well made and are pretty affordable. They also have really simple styles, so BMs can wear different styles without looking mis-matched.

My sister just got married in Oct and we wore aria dresses (style 160 in paprika silk shantung...they were so comfortable and looked great all day).

HTH!

ETA: There's a ton of pictures on the website also of real bridal parties in Aria dresses, and many of them are in different styles, but the same color.

Re: Bridesmaids - different style dress for each girl?

I loved that idea of the different dress style but i large a large BP so it will mlook like too much but u can do it too, you picks are really nice.

What i decided to do was get my BM dress made so it will fit to each BM's body type.
