Arm Chubbbbbb!!! Personal Trainers & Girls into Working Out-- are you out there?
I hate how the chub on the back of my arms makes me look heavy. I dont get why I gain weight there so easily! I need to lose this and FAST! My dress is strapless!Can someone PLEASE tell me how I can get rid of it fast? I have two 3 pound weights that I want to use everyday but I am not sure how to get the BEST results.
Please...if anyone knows about this topic...HELP!

I did a lot of arm exercises a few weeks before the wedding and it really seemed to help. I used one of those stretchy bands with handles on the end because I was traveling a lot, but I think weights will work even better.I'll try to describe the exercise I did for the back of my arm: lift your right arm in the air and bend the elbow so that the elbow to the hand is behind your head. With a weight in your right hand, lift your hand above your head until your arm is straight. I often would stabilize my right arm by using my left arm to hold the elbow in place.

First of all, chuck the 3 lb. weights! Unless you're a weakling (which I doubt) you need to use heavier weights than that.The back of your arm is the triceps muscle, and you can use weights to make the muscles stronger, but that'll only make your arms look even bigger.
The only solution is BOTH weight training AND cardio. You have to lose body fat from all over in order for your arms to get thinner.
Then, you can use weights to build muscle, so that you tone the muscle and also burn extra calories.
So, get on the treadmill, eliptical, whatever, and do AT LEAST 30 minutes of cardio 5 times a week, eat a healthy diet and start lifting weights. If you're not sure what exercises to do, your best bet is to get a few lessons with a personal trainer (if you belong to a gym) or buy a couple of good workout videos..........

CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO is the only thing that will get rid of fat. Weights will tone the muscle, but if the muscle is under a layer of fat, you will never see it.

Have you tried doing laps? Swimming is great for you whole body and will tone up your arms really quickly. A lot of YMCAs have pools and some of the hotels sell passes to their pools.

tricep dips are the best and pushups!! Doing a combo of these two will tone the back of your arms.

Put your arms down at your sides, then rest your palms on the edge of a chair (or bench), then put your legs straight out in front of you (you can bend them a little too). Dip down by bending your elbows to the 90 degree point, and keep your elbows at your sides, and pointing back. Then push yourself back up.
You can see what it looks like here, although this girl has her legs elevated which makes it harder.

If you will be that regimented for the next two months.....you'll be surprised of a difference you will see by your wedding day.
You still have time, just start now! The best motivation is noticing a difference!

cardio and weights-remember muscle burns fat!---I would use a light weight and do high reps/sets to tone; pilates; pushups-triangle pushups-tricep dips-as well as eating healthy!

that is a great workout for triceps...actually Im cringing at the feel of the burn when doing those.
It will burn but that is just proof of the muscle working! Good Luck!

I had the same fears as you before my wedding - two words - PERSONAL TRAINER - I got one for four weeks before my wedding and the difference was UNBELIEVABLE - my arms never looked so great in all my life! I used to think I could just do it on my own and I did but, the personal trainer really made a huge difference (along with major dieting).GOOD LUCK!

definitely dips...a 3, 5 or even 8 lb weight will not make your arms look bigger!! You would need to do some SERIOUS work with a lot of weight to bulk up like that. Triceps are so hard for women to tone and you need to work them seriously, until it HURTS!Welcome New Vendors
