Re: Fox Hollow girls! (especially winter brides)
I was there Saturday (actually, we were cancelling our contract), and it looked lovely with all the decorations.I kind of wonder though... what if you're not a Christian bride and you have to have your wedding with all of that Christmas stuff around? Especially since they put it in the photo studio and everything. I mean, I'm Jewish, and I have nothing agaist the occasional Christmas tree or poinsetta, but I don't think I'd want them in my wedding pictures. Especially since it's an interfaith wedding... there's already enough Jewish/Christian tension in the air! I don't even want to imagine all my Jewish relatives walking into that lobby after sitting through our interfaith ceremony... ouch!
Anyway... sorry that was a kind of off-topic rant. It definitely did look lovely.

yay weddingbunny! 100!
I met with Arthur - he was telling us about a bride they have this weekend... it is a jewish wedding, and she is making them take down all the poinsettias and wreaths in the room.

Thank you.I mean, this is obviously not an issue for me because my wedding is in October... it just kind of occurred to me looking at the pictures.
If it were me, I'd have to have them take down all the stuff in the room, but I think, considering the rather delicate nature of bringing two religions together in an interfaith wedding, I'd be worried about the lobby and everything just kind of rubbing it all in my family's face... which is exactly what I wouldn't want to do.
Eh, I'm thinking about this too hard. It won't be an issue for me anyway because I won't have my wedding in December (or at Fox Hollow now, but I guess all halls probably decorate like that)... I guess I just have all this stuff on my brain. It's pretty, and it's such a lovely hall, and it wouldn't bother most people, so who really cares?
