No money right now to pay for M/U or Hair trials
Hey everyone - I want to cry - we are going thru so many financial problems right now, I don't have money for a manicure or pedicure (the one monthly treat I used to give my self) let alone money to spend on trials for anything! I am so sad about it, and had a horrible nightmare about trying to do my makeup last night and looking so scary!!! I dreamt I had no blush and had to use my little future stepdaughters red lipgloss as blush and I had these big red clown circles on my cheek!
OK, that part is funny, but what am I going to do? Is Feb or Mar too late to look for someone for a June wedding? Even free trials, I have to tip! What am I going to do????
I want to cry....

Aww sweetie dont stress it. Why dont you try going to department store cosmetic counters for make-up trials. FM ChristineAE, this girl is an expert...she went for a trial at MAC and her make-up came out fabulous. You can work something out with them as well to come to your house the day-of...and Im sure they are wayyyyy cheaper than othe rmake-up artists.

You have time still-maybe someone you know can start playing around to give you an idea of what looks good.Don't cry ( I know how sad it is I amin the same boat) but maybe things will look up a little sooner than later

Re: No money right now to pay for M/U or Hair trials
I love MAC, but the require a 4purchase minimum (which I would normally do even without the trial!!!!)thanks for your words - I guess I just need to hear everything will be ok - unfortunately, I don't know any good makeup people personally, otherwise I would totally be hitting them up....
As long as Feb or Mar wont be too late, I can start saving for then....
Now, my ugly toes are another story - everytime I take off my shoes I want to cry all over again - thank GOD its winter!!!

you can go to a department store (mentioned above) and go to a makeup counter and have them do a makeover on you for free.also, Maureen and Claudia Pedala do free trials, but they are expensive for the day of ($250 for makeup and $300 for hair)

They don't require any minimum purchase?
Isn't that a bit shady, or is that what they are there for? I would feel funny doing that unless it's something they are totally used to!!

Go to Sephora or Ulta!!!I've never seen anyone pay for a trial at Sephora. They might charge $125 for the day of.
Not sure about Ulta, but it may be the same rules.

OOH - I like Sephora! I'll give them a try - I didn't realize they did MU for weddings but I guess it would make sense, huh?
Thank you everyone!

Yes, that is what they are there for. You do not have to buy anything...it's always a nice gesture, but I went to one makeup trial at Bobbi Brown that I hated and I just walked away without opening my wallet at all!
