Question...Did you do cake testings and food testings at russos's...I didnt thnk they had it bc you get many choices...Did you have to do anything wtih them beofre your wedding other than paying the bill?

Good question, I am a Russo's bride too. I can't answer your question yet since I'm getting married after you. But I think that the cake is chef's choice unless you get the Elements of Style package. We're not having a food tasting b/c we've been there so often for parties.

I dont think we shold have a food tasting...bc I have been there soo many times...but FH wants to pick his cake...oh well...hmm....

Are you doing the v-hour? I went to a wedding last year and they had a carrot cake for the wedding cake. I thought that was nice, b/c God knows there were enough options at vhour if people didn't like carrot cake!

Hey Russo brides I was just there for a wedding last night. The food was awesome and I have to say the cake was out of this world. I think it was a napoleon cake. It was very yummy.

Hey Ladies!!

We are doing a cake testing(per my request to my BM but they do them anyways if you ask), I got a lot of upgrades but elements of style was not one of them...didn't find it necessary since our hall rocks as is!! I have already looked at the cakes they have..and they are revamping designs so in April I believe they are coming out with all new cakes..

They are already beautiful...and will be even better after revamp...as for the chef picking it..not true...just get a hold of your BM and tell them what you want...We are choosing what our cake looks like..and the flavor and filling...they are great...

I am working with them a lot..but that is because I am anal and I live in New Mexico so I have to make sure I have everything under control...but no...CAKE FLAVOR IS DEFINITELY YOUR CHOICE!!!! after all..you are paying it!!!!

I am soo happy to find you girls on here..don't find to many Russo's brides on here

just a quick update..I called to make sure...

Six weeks before the big day they set up a time where they go over fillings and flavors and what have you...and will put it in your contract...so its definitely what you choose!!, HTH

staff changes into white dinner jackets before dinner
customized charger plate
personalized program menus
upgraded cake selection
monogrammed cake plates
specialty ligthing
specialty drink and desert..

..nothing that I find necessary really
