Wow I only spent like $2,000 on flowers and $500 of it was on the chuppa (canopy) alone  but I also had a small brial party. Rest assured though that John can work with any budget you throw at him.
I can only imagine if I met with Adrianna and told her that I only wanted to spend $2,000  
I went to Flowers By Brian (across from Russo's also) and they wanted about $3,500 with a more elaborate chuppa though (which DH and I didn't want/need) and they wanted us to use it as part of the dais which we didn't want either- also all he offered me was roses as well. I also didn't like the containers for the CP's that he had offered either.
I was a bit turned off by them in those aspects.

I'm a Russo's Bride, at least I was in September. They are amazing. We were in the Renaissance room and came out of the wall. We never did a food tasting or cake tasting. We had the elements of style, so we picked the cake we wanted. I saw a picture in a pp of the slippers and they were so comfy after the wedding. They also put newspapers in everyone's car, which I thought was a cute touch. They treat everyone with respect every time you go in there. Always offering coffee and cookies and my favorite...cappucino's. Just found this thread and wanted to say HI.

For my cake it was the top two tiers were real cake (not the cake they served though) and the rest was for looks.
If you take a look at my review and album I have a few photos of the cake- we had the Napolean with cream cake and it was soooo good! It you look closely enough the cake we had was tiered hearts and called "Amore"
Also I didn't do the elements of style package.
Mady- how was the showcase??
Yes those Russo's slippers are so comfy I wear them all the time.. also I forgot that they put in the newspapers in people's cars too.

Kris I used Teddys Florist in Astoria and she was excellent. She got me everything I wanted for 1000 less than I budgeted.
Girls only 11 days until my wedding. I don't think its hit me yet.

Ladies,
I went to finalize my menu last night (wedding is in one month! ah!) and there was an Italian Pageant going on. Anyways, the room was set up so I snapped a bunch of photos which I figured would help some of you in room setup / place settings, etc. to get a better idea of what everything will look like!

hey ladies!! sorry btwn work and the 09 boards i am all over the place! lol
the showcase was good as usual. lol i just love going there. whenevery they see me now they smile and say hello and they all know my name. LOVE IT! i was only there for about 20 minutes. i made a payment, walked around, grabbed a few cookies lol and was outside with FH checking out the limos!

Sorry girls I am finally in NY for my wedding. I can't believe its in I days!!! I picked my cake and it looks so pretty! I have to take a picture of the finished product. It looks like wrapped envelopes with calla lilies. I am heading to Russos on Thursday before Rehearsal to drop off the favors. I am so excited!

I had the napoleon cream but DH didn't like the strawberries so we opted to have just the cream.

I dream about their food- I really loved the desserts (I'm such a sugar freak).
I couldn't believe they gave us a whole two trays of fruit and cookies to take back with us too.. I really loved those.
