ANYONE LOOKING FOR JUNE 24TH WEDDING?

Hi girls, I put $500 down to hold the June 24th spot for my wedding day at Majestic Gardens. Then, after 2 days, we realized that we rushed into everything. (I've only been engaged for < 2 weeks!) I still love the place, and our BM John G was a sweetheart. So, if anyone is looking to have a June wedding on a Saturday night, Majestic Gardens is still available. If they tell you it's booked, let them know that you know the girl who was booked on that day, and have John call me to verify. I guess I was just a bit excited that I was getting married, and I booked the 1st & only place we looked at. I LOVE that place, and you're the only bride!! Well, Good Luck Girlies!

Are they not giving you back your deposit? Have you asked them about that? 2 days is quick to change your mind. I would hope they would be understanding. Just wondering

Nope. He said the only way I can get the deposit back was if they booked the date with another couple. I thought he was so nice, but now I don't understand how he can't cut a young couple a break for being overly excited and in love. And it wasn't even like we were rude about cancelling that date. We didn't say that the place sucked & we hated it. We just said we'd like to maybe have it a few weeks later. Thank you so much for the legal law references for Suffolk County. You girls are the best!

That's my Bday...it was actually going to be our wedding date but then I decided I didn't want to get married on my birthday!

I think the caterer is telling you something based on the assumption you don't know about the law. Tell them you do and you want your money back.
