GOING to KILL MY FG's MOM!!

OMG, well my wedding is 3/4/06, 79 days away. Nobody seems to understand that its coming up and I will be extremely busy come January (ie, gotta meet with my vendors and such). Well, after a month of phone calls back and fourth with my FG's mom (who is crazy and a stay at home mom), she tells me every week we can go looking this weekend, then calls me thursday to bail, hello I've given you plenty of time. Its too late to order a dress (sad because I love the sweet beginnings line) and she is extremely cheap. She wanted to go looking at Macys (because I work there I get a discount), HELLO They have nothing. I would love to just order it online, but she doesn't like that. I said lets go to the flea market, again still nothing. She is so f**cking crazy that she wants me to spend tonight on the computer with her going from website to website getting an idea of the dresses to look for on the internet, I already emailed her all the links already.... Then, she says 'Bring the fabric of your dress, BM's dresses and a picture of the tuxes so it could match', well even if I did that, she hasn't given me any time. She keeps saying its so busy, HELLO YOU DON'T WORK, YOUR TWO BOYS ARE IN SCHOOL AND MY FG (4) IS IN PRE_SCHOOL 3 DAYS A WEEK!!! Then she says she wants in before X-MAS, but can't do it this weekend???? I'm so pissed off. And to top it off, my mom said wait until Janaury, hello I'm meeting with everyone, starting my own fittings, etc that month. My wedding 3/4/06, the first weekend of March (FEB is a short month), I have sooo much heartache over this

Unfortunatly, there is always some stress as you get closer to your wedding. Some people just dont care. I ordered the dress for my FG online and had her mom give me the money back. I hate waiting around for people so i just do it myself. You order the dress online then get the money back from her.

I agree....find out what size she is & get the dress yourself. Just send her the bill, & tell her that this had to be done & you have no free time after this weekend with the holidays & all of your appointments. If she has 1/2 a brain, she should somewhat understand.

Its is $42 and takes about 2-3 weeks to come in.

So sorry you are going through this. I dealt with something similar. I didnt order dresses but only because it was pricey and risky with the growth rates of small kids. I asked the mothers over and over to come with me to look and I almost lost one of them over it because we couldnt get it together. I ended up paying for their dresses in order to keep the peace. We went to Tri-County Flea Market and did rather well. Good luck and I hope it gets easier.

I would love to do that, but she's not as easy as you think. Hell, I would have loved to get one from a bridal salon (love the sweet beginnings stuff), but no. I'm going to maybe go this weekend and pick something up, IF ONLY SHE WOULD TELL ME SIZE!!!!!

This is kinda weird. Why is she being so reluctant about this. She shouldn't be. It is very very very odd that she doesnt know hwer daughters size. Something else might be going on in this woman's head to make your life miserable.

Your wedding, your way....if the girl is 4, get her a size 4/5...the bridal salon will understand. If her daughter doesn't fit - it's the mother's fault and not yours!
