cute ways to number a table
My cousin just told me about these two cute ways that she saw tables numbered:1) Put a sign on the placecard table that reads something to the effect of 'Elements of the perfect marriage...' Then label each table with words that make up a great marriage, like: Love, trust, commitment, friendship etc...

2) (can you tell I am trying to up my posts!)Name each table after a different flower/herb ex sunflower, lilac, etc, then as a favor, do terra cotta pots planted with that flower specific for that table. example: Mr and Mrs. Smith are seated at table sunflower. their favor is a pot planted with sunflower seeds,
but Mr. and Mrs. Jones are seated at table rosemary, so their favor is a pot planted with rosemary. I am sure that you get it...anyway Ithought that was a cute idea for a spring wedding

Those are great ideas!! I have another one we are going to name the tables after places we've been or are that are important to us Ex: Bahamas w/ a pic of us there or Ocean City w/ a pic etc.

Re: cute ways to number a table
Very cute- I like the first one (less work!) and might have our tables named after NYC landmarks that I'll take b&w pics of and develop myself in the darkroom (my newest hobby!). Great ideas tho!! I'd be happy with prettier number designs and holders at this point tho!!

Re: cute ways to number a table
i've seen people name their tables places that mean something to the couple...like cities, or local park namesalso i've also seen the regular numbers, but putting a pic of the bride in groom, corresponding to that # table...like for table 1, having on each side of the table card a pic of them each at age 1, and then table #2 has them at age 2, etc. etc.

Re: cute ways to number a table
We are planning to name our tables after places FH and I have been on vacation plus other places we want to go on vacation. But I have a silly question about this....When tables have normal numbers, people know how to find their tables (as long as they can count!). But what happens when the tables have names (i.e. Hawaii, The Empire State Building)? How do people find their tables? Do people put numbers and names?

Re: cute ways to number a table
I posted this on the 06 board but thought I would share it here too.I decided to do a DC theme for my table numbers and names. Here is my first attempt at creating them. Please let me know any suggestions or comments. Thanks!!!!
My Mom specifically requested to sit at the Treasury building since my parents are paying for the whole wedding.
