What types of photos look best in B&W/Sepia?

What types of photos look best in B&W/Sepia?
Is there a rule or general guidelines? What pics wouldn't look good with the above - besides, the obvious, like really beautiful colored flowers or greenery....

It's hard to actually say since one of our pics was beautiful with greenery but we ended up with the sepia for the layout....
