WHAT TYPE OF GLUE WILL HOLD ON CLOTH? ESPECIALLY VELOUR has anyone done it before? please post pics if yo have!

i think fabric glue..... better yet when you buy the crystals ask them.. they would know better then anyone else

I own a business designing and manufactuing chic maternity clothes. I bought a special adhesive to glue stones onto my sample clothing. If I can remember, I'll look up the name of the glue for you. You can by it in the garment district in NYC for about $7 retail. You can wash your clothes and the stones will stay. You need to be very careful using the glue because it can stick to your fingers and if you accidentally drip it on the fabric, you might not be able to get it off. Also, in the garment district you can buy over the counter crystal designs or custom designed crystals that are backed onto a special paper that you can iron on permanently to the item. This actully works really well and is permanent. You need a very powerful steam iron for this. All these are permanent and if you mess up I'm not sure if you can undo it. You can also use iron ons from Michaels.

In ballroom dancing, those stones were glued onto our dresses all the time - I will try and find my old dress maker and ask her...

I used FabricTec - found it at Michaels.Got the tip from another post ages ago - a bride's mom made her veil.
